Sunlight is a powerful source of energy. It penetrates darkness and fills it with
warmth. Every sunrise and sunset, we are reminded of its magnificent presence.

点灯 (tentō) draws inspiration from negative space and sunlight. It mimics sunlight’s
behavior when it interacts with darkness. In particular, the lighting effects created
by blocking sunlight inform the design.

Like the sun, tentō will be a source of energy for people and create warm
environments. Although it will have a quiet presence, I hope that people feel
comfortable around it and look to it as a welcoming spot to gather around.
