We bridge design and manufacturing for contract furniture.

Martin Brattrud manufactures contemporary, commercial-grade furniture, including chairs, tables, lounges and modular seating, which is built for corporate, hospitality and healthcare environments and is often custom-made. I supported their product development team with the technical side of things. The work is less about a single standout piece and more about ensuring that many collections are successfully transitioned from design intent to manufactured product.

From design intent to production-ready documentation.

My work involved translating concepts into accurate CAD models and shop drawings, documenting the details needed for manufacturing and supporting prototyping to ensure that any issues were identified before production. Precision and clarity were key, providing the documentation necessary for designs to be built correctly at scale.

I managed many collections cleanly through to production.

My modelling, drawings and documentation kept design and manufacturing aligned across multiple furniture collections, contributing to the successful development of each piece.

My responsibilities included:
- CAD modelling
- Shop drawings
- Technical documentation
- Marketing illustration

I also acted as a design ↔ manufacturing liaison and provided production & prototyping support.
